For several years I have offered prints of my best photos for sale to friends, colleagues, and participants of some of the nature tours I lead. The response has been so overwhelmingly positive, I have decided to expand the number of photos on my website in order to offer a wider selection.

My current financial situation is quite dire. Although I am a doctoral Life Sciences Fellow at the University of Missouri, my fellowship does not provide funds to complete my research and I must solicit those elsewhere. I have had little enough success that I have decided to use proceeds from the sale of my prints to fund my research. So if you buy a print from me you can have the satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to the funding of scientific research on the ecology of tropical birds, many of which are represented in my photo galleries.

About Me

Although my main focus in life right now is my doctoral research on bird migration, I have always loved photography. My research activities take me to some fantastic places in Peru where the stunning landscapes and exotic animals and plants let even an amateur like me take some awesome photos.

About My Photography

Most of my photography is geared towards animals and plants, and I try to take special care identifying the species in my photographs. So whether you're here because you like the aesthetic quality of my photos or their scientific content, please enjoy the site and let me know what you like and what you don't like (especially errors in identification).
